3S members develop new Critical Climate Literacy training workshop

3S members Noel Longhurst and Phedeas Stephanides have partnered with researchers from the School of Global Development (UEA), CivicUEA and the UEA Biodiversity and Climate Action Network (BCAN) to develop a Critical Climate Literacy workshop.

Designed for those either new to climate training or those looking for a deeper, more critical perspective, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with cutting-edge interdisciplinary research conducted at the UEA to:

  1. Build understanding of climate change, its impacts, and carbon accounting;
  2. Explore climate change as a systemic and political challenge;
  3. Situate organisational action within wider structures of power and responsibility;
  4. Encourage imaginative thinking about alternative, more sustainable futures; and
  5. Reflect on our roles in addressing climate change and the limits of carbon footprinting and consumer-led solutions alone.

Workshop details:
🗓️ Monday 2 March | 9:30-16:00 (more dates to follow)
