3S members Noel Longhurst and Phedeas Stephanides have partnered with researchers from the School of Global Development (UEA), CivicUEA and the UEA Biodiversity and Climate Action Network (BCAN) to develop a Critical Climate Literacy workshop.
Designed for those either new to climate training or those looking for a deeper, more critical perspective, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with cutting-edge interdisciplinary research conducted at the UEA to:
- Build understanding of climate change, its impacts, and carbon accounting;
- Explore climate change as a systemic and political challenge;
- Situate organisational action within wider structures of power and responsibility;
- Encourage imaginative thinking about alternative, more sustainable futures; and
- Reflect on our roles in addressing climate change and the limits of carbon footprinting and consumer-led solutions alone.
