Midnight Sun examines everyday spaces and technologies of night in the vertical city. By displaying bespoke photography, digital media, and sculptural artworks in close dialogue with research materials drawn from everyday life in the vertical city, the exhibition questions how we might reckon with the entangled hi/stories of life in the nocturnal city.
The exhibition ran for six weeks in 2021 (from 6th May) at Black Tower Projects in south London and was initiated by the Urban Night Project – a research collaboration led by urban geographer and 3S member Casper Laing Ebbensgaard, and Rut Blees Luxemburg (RCA). The IHSS are delighted to support this innovative project.
